"We was told 3hrs for an ambulance for a an..."

About: Broomfield Hospital / Accident and emergency

We was told 3hr wait for our daughter who was under 2 years old who woke up struggling to breathe.

The ambulance crew said Broomfield was very busy and the staff were not able to off load the patients to the hospital in the given 15 minutes scale so were sat at the hospital until their patient had been booked in. Then they can then attend another call this is disgusting when we got to a&E after taking her ourselves in car with no oxygen no equipment it was panic stations and A&E wasn’t even busy and the peads A&E has one other child in there that wall all. I was asked why did I not call an ambulance I i was sure to tell hem why!

More resources required for the surrounding villages to Chelmsford !!! For ambulance depos and more vehicles this is disgusting would hate to think what would of happened if we didn’t have a car.

We apologise for the wait for an ambulance, we will pass on your feedback to the ambulance centre.
