On holiday in Eastbourne but admitted to Emergency Department following a fall which caused facial injury. The treatment received from all staff was excellent.
Courtesy and friendliness throughout the six hours I was there.
Blood tests, ECG and brain scans given without undue delay.
I was kept fully informed of my condition and the necessary subsequent treatment required.
When I elected not to take the medically preferred course of action but to seek medical help back in my home area, this was accepted and advice given.
Particular praise must be given to the doctor attending me, who was very patient, treated me as an individual with intelligence to understand what the brain scans showed and the possible consequences of the injury.
He was amazingly informative about the area, new ground to me, and helped me regain my normal mental and physical functioning after a rather upsetting incident.
The Battle of Hastings has a whole new meaning and a very big thank you to the ambulance crew and all Emergency Staff at the Conquest Hospital.
