I had 2 inductions and had to stay in Conquest Hospital Murray unit for further observation. While waiting for the baby I have had a constant and thorough care which led me to be transferred the same night to the delivery unit due to baby heart beat dropping and to start the delivery. My labor pains kicked very soon. In the delivery room I have had a constant care and amazing emotional support. I was constantly reassured that I am doing great and everything is ok . I was given epidural on my wish. I was talked through every step and I felt calm and safe. As I was waiting for the magic 10 my baby girl's heart beat dropped again and we had to do emergency c-section. I was very scared but the staff once again talked me through everything which made me feel calm. Not long and I've heard my baby cry. It was the most amazing sound I've heard in my life. I have been put back in my room very fast so I could enjoy my baby at last. 1st days Post-partum were filled with midwifes and doctors in and out. I have received amazing care and a lot of precious advise. I even got help when I was too shy to ask for it, when my baby would cry in the 1st night and I couldn't figure out why, I've always had someone come in and help me out which was extremely wonderful. It was my 1st ever stay in hospital in my life and it felt more like staying over with family and friends who have outstanding knowledge and strong dedication to help and care.I left home 2 days after. It's been 6 days and my recovery is amazing. My pain is almost gone and only feel slight discomfort in my empty now tummy :)
I would like to thank so so much to everyone that was there with me for giving me strength and courage and making scary times - exciting times for me. Thank you for taking away the pain and helping with any silly questions I've had and most of all thank you for delivering my baby girl safely and healthy.
