"St Richards maternity unit"

I have had 2 babies at St Richards and both were completely different experiences but I think the hospital and staff are fantastic. My first baby was born at 37 weeks and I was able to use the birthing centre which was really relaxed. I did want a water birth but there wasn't enough time to fill the pool. Afterwards, I had to go into surgery as I retained my placenta and then had complications. We had a little stay in hospital but were well taken care of and it was Christmas too! 

My second baby was a planned section as baby was breech. I was under a brilliant consultant due to my retained placenta and felt confident that I could still have a nice birth. 

I'm now due another and wouldn't choose any other place to give birth!
