I was a very active person always on the go with a bubbly personality, then one day I got sharp pains in my chest thereafter my right side got weak to the point that I could not move.
When I entered the ward I was afraid and upset as I did not know when I would be able to walk again and feel my right side. I was greeted by a woman with a smile on her face and welcomed me to the 4 star hotel with a view - in the moment her words were normal but for me they meant more because she made me smile.
The nurses in this ward are all good at their job. I could not speak properly because of my weakness but they understood me and cared for me in a way that I will never forget.
Also the trainee nurses have a brilliant attitude they were all very nice but one in particular I feel would be a great asset to the NHS is Emma, she would come to see me even when her duty was in another ward. On her break, she would come. I wish her all the best in her exams as I know she is off doing her exams.
Also nurses helpers are a breath of fresh air and provide light entertainment, they always have smile on their face. I would like to name just a few people who for me helped in my progress. I’m still in hospital as I have not made a full recovery but I know I am in good hands and the support they give is amazing so here goes with the names: Nicola, Elizabeth, janine, Karen, Julie, Emma, Joeanne, Jennifer, Justina. I apologise if I have missed anyone you do an amazing job and deserve recognition.
Also I would like to thank the physio staff for all their continued support.
