"The most caring nurse ever"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Cardiology (Ward 4)

(as a service user),

Ward 4 in Wishaw, a new elderly patient was moved in, he wasn't very talkative, but kept saying he better get out and was working himself up. A young nurse (Jade) sat with him and started quietly chatting to him, she wiped his brow and spoke slow and gentle to him, he let out his emotions and had a wee cry, all the while that wee young nurse sat comforting him.

I was genuinely humbled, this kind of care I don't believe is something that can be taught, although from my own experience in this ward the care is 2nd to none, these nurses are truly angels on earth.

Dear Rab76

Thank you very much for getting in touch and for your comments in relation to the care you observed for an elderly patient who was admitted to Ward 4 here at University Hospital Wishaw.

Your positive comments are very welcome and I will ensure they are fed back to the staff in Ward 4 who work so hard in ensuring the care and compassion we provide to our patients is of a high standard. I have no doubt they will be delighted for the feedback and particularly Jade, whom you have personally named.

Thank you once again and best wishes

Regards

Faith
