"Outstanding Orthopaedic Treatment"

About: Shepton Mallet NHS Treatment Centre

I had a total hip replacement under spinal block anaesthesia. The treatment by all the staff and consultants put me completely at ease and I could not have been more pleased with the end results. The care shown by everyone is second to none and the hospital is fully deserving of its CQC highest status. The very smallest of niggles was not being able to find a legitimate parking space in 6 out of 7 visits, the car park was always overflowing. That said, the hospital service is exemplary and I couldn't imagine going anywhere else should I need further similar treatment in the future. I am most grateful.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent treatment at Shepton Mallet NHS Treatment Centre.

We aim to provide a high quality, individualised patient focused service ensuring every patient is treated with the care and respect they deserve (and which we would all want for ourselves) and it was lovely to hear that you have been satisfied with our efforts. We believe that clear and careful communication is the key to establishing good rapport and that this in turn ensures the patient can make informed choices about their treatment plan and be reassured about any worries their forthcoming treatment may pose.

We do appreciate the frustration regarding the lack of car parking spaces. Unfortunately, the car park is shared by ourselves and the community hospital and quickly becomes full. We are discussing options of how we may be able to alleviate these pressures in the future to benefit both our patients and those from the community hospital, but this will obviously take some time to bring to fruition.

Thank you again for your kind comments. These will be shared with the team.

Kind regards
