Had my fist appointment 19 Feb. Where I was feeling a little nervous. All staff friendly and introduced themselves. Clean and efficient. Pippelle biopsy taken. A member of the nursing team stayed with me talking and keeping my mind on other things . My follow up scan was arranged for me at bassetlaw ( nearer home).
My next appointment advised I needed a hysteroscopy. I was given detailed information by the consultant why this was and what it would involve. A room was prepared, and the procedure started. I have a coil in place and was finding it really uncomfortable. The consultant attemped to remove the coil but again really painful. He stopped the procedure advising he was not going to put me though pain and that he would do it under anestethic. He again explained in detail what this would entail. I went for pre op assessment. Where again they arranged for me to go bassetlaw, for bloods and ecg. On the day of my appointment 22 March. I arrived on g5. Extremely busy. A one to one with the anesestist to go through my notes and options of anesthtic they could use. Pre assement with one of the consulting team. A quick chat with the consultant. To make sure I understood. And pre assement with staff nurse. I was walked to theatre with one of the anesestist.once in they got me ready. Chatting to me constantly and letting me know what they were doing. Came round in recovery. And wheeled back on to the day ward. Until I felt ready to go home.
Overall my whole experience has been one of being kept informed and being made to feel comfortable by very busy caring staff from reception all the way through to consultant.
"Excellent treatmet"
