"Appointment for a B12 injection"

About: Bay Medical Group

I had a appointment for my vitamin B12 injection for 15.50 today, I came out of work for a injection that takes seconds to administer, after sitting there for over an hour waiting and losing pay I had to leave to return to work. I called the group on my return to work to be told the nurse was busy however the nurses in the day care centre was busy chatting as I walked past surely if they was that busy could they not have asked them to break off from there busy conversations. The next available appointment for my injection which is already well overdue is the 11 of April, what a sorry state of affairs this group is in, and it's not the first time I have been messed around, very disappointed and disgusted.

Dear Joanne

I am really sorry you had to wait over an hour for your appointment yesterday; I can understand how frustrating that can be, especially if you have taken time out of work. Unfortunately patients being seen by a clinician aren’t always straight forward and sometimes a patient presents with situations that needs longer than the allocated 15 or 20 minute slot. I believe this was the case yesterday with the nurse you were booked in with.

I believe the nurse contacted you at the end of her surgery and arranged another appointment today I hope that helped.

I’m sorry that the reception team were not aware of your long wait, sadly this lead to no one at least speaking to you and keeping you informed of the delay

You mentioned a nurse in the Day care centre, I’m assuming you meant the Same Day Service centre , their nurses are not part of our offering.

Patients are booked with specific nurses who are trained in certain areas, not all nurses do the same procedures so it’s generally not an option to swap patient around with different clinicians

I’m sorry you were in a situation that caused frustration and hope the nurses actions have helped

Regards
