"Care of my mother"

I and My family would like the thank the all the staff working on A & E, Clinical Decisions Unit, Acute Medical Unit and Elderly Ward 19 for the care, commitment and compassion shown to my mother and us, her family, on her recent stay at the hospital.

Mum was admitted unresponsive during the atrocious weather from the “beast from the east”.

Many staff had worked long shifts or had struggled to get into work but did not let that affect their work or attitude towards us. Mum did regain consciousness and told us that the nurses and other members of staff were kind to her.

Mum sadly passed away on the 13th March due to advanced Alzheimer’s dementia and frailty.
