Woke to go to the toilet at 5am, went back to sleep but couldn't, due to strengthening pain in chest and with previous history of heart problems ( angina, heart attack and heart byepass) and recent visit to UCHL for pre- assessment prior to planned surgery a ECG had shown irregular heartbeat
I felt a bit worried so decided to call 999.
In due course ambulance arrived and following discussion and tests I was taken to St Peter's.
In A&E
I was rapidly seen to. Every one that I saw, whether concerned with my care or treatment was very friendly and efficient.
After more tests, and feeling much more comfortable myself it was decided that I could return home and attend UCHL for my appointment there latter in the week.
I cannot neme names but everyone, ambulance crew, nurses, doctor and the lady serving breakfast were briilliant.
The same as when I had my heart attack 4 years ago.
I would thoroughly recommend St.Peters ( and Ashford) for follow up appointments.
"Chest pain."
