"Cancelled appointment"

About: Stepping Hill Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

I have been referred to see a consultant at Stepping Hill twice in the last 9 months. On the first occasion the hospital claimed that they wrote to me and the letter was returned stating I did not live at the address given. I have been at the same address for over ten years and the GP has the correct address.

After waiting several months for another referral appointment they have now cancelled this. I have been given no explanation for this, no letter or phone call. The only reason that I was made aware of this is when I called the online referral number to confirm who I was seeing. The advisor suggested I call them directly to discuss this.

I have tried calling Stepping Hill but nobody answers the phone. Is there an plan at Stepping hill to move appointments to Salford Royal? Very poor service!
