"Disappointing outcome and lack of care from staff"

About: Livewell South West

2 years I have been on the waiting list process for this service, I eventually did get to the top of one waiting list and made many compromises personally, to be able to attend the very limited session options. Off the back of those, I was referred for a higher intensity service and placed on another long waiting list. Without going into all the back and forth details of the many conversations that I had with varying staff members throughout this time, they eventually discharged me from the waiting list because I was not able to confirm I could attend a session during working hours the following week - it was too late notice. All i asked, in fact almost pleaded, was that they keep me on the waiting list whilst I worked something out with work, or until they could offer later day or evening sessions. I tried to speak many times with a staff member about this and even suggested myself being moved to the very back of the waiting list again so others could proceed whilst I waited however rather than meaningfully engaging with an individual and helping them to reach an outcome - they simply discharged me and did not even tell me - I had to chase AGAIN to find this out and now am told I would need to go through the self referral process all over again...The irony of this is, it can cause you many more worries/anxieties and feelings of helplessness just by going through the process to try and help yourself with these exact problems and the people they have working on the front line of communication, in my opinion, are severely lacking any empathy and understanding - there also seems to be an issue with the way information is communicated within the service. I would suggest really thinking about your overall options if you are hoping this service will help you - it could end up doing the very opposite. I understand NHS pressures but don't believe this to be an excuse for honest and open communication.
