I was sent a letter to say I was booked in for morning surgery for my ear, When I arrived it became apparent that my appointment was for the afternoon so had to wait. After the operation I was told I would be given appointment in 3 months for follow up which did not happen. When I phoned up to chase this I was informed it hadn't been made and was given an appointment for December. I was then referred to Monklands hospital however my referral went to the wrong place which I only found out after contacting Monklands and being informed I was not on the waiting list. I am still waiting for an appointment at Monklands which is now 15 months after my hearing issue was referred by my GP.
I also had a an appointment for my knee and was told I needed a review for a years time. This appointment was also not made not made and only found this out when contacting the hospital.
Treatment for my knee and ear was excellent, the referrals and appointments system was extremely poor. The delays for my ear are now impacting on my work and I am now developed infection in my inner ear. I am really disappointed at still having no resolution with my ear after such a long period of time.
