"Nurses excellent, doctor not good"

Been back with this surgery 4.5 years, had thyroid problem for 4 yrs, took meds as prescribed, but symptoms and weight have got progressively worse.

Dr won't listen, and orders tests for other things, that just come back normal.

Asked if alternative to levo, told no other treatment.

(Thyroid org lists alternatives to levo, but costs seem to be the issue, or it is not a licenced product.)

As long as blood work comes back within the 'normal' average, they class me as fine.

Unable to change Doctor, or surgery.

No chance of seeing a specialist without drs referral, so doomed to feel like death warmed over (understatement), and watch weight get progressively worse, with all its complications.

Well done to reception and Nurses, find them kind, helpful and compassionate.
