(as the patient),

From start to finish, I couldn't have asked for better care. The receptionist was very friendly & gave clear directions to the ward where I was greeted by lovely staff who put me at ease straight away & explained what would happen.

The Consultant did an excellent job & kept me informed throughout the procedure as to what he was doing. I had heard from others who had previously had lumbar punctures about how bad an experience they had.

My procedure was in no way painful or uncomfortable so I can recommend anyone who is worried about this procedure should have it at the Day Case Unit at the Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham & if they are as lucky as I was to be treated by this wonderful Consultant then they will have nothing to worry about. The staff are brilliant & do an amazing job.
