"Consistent and of a very high standard"

About: Blackpool Victoria Hospital

My dad was diagnosed and admitted for treatment and surgery for bowel cancer. As a family we can not fault the consultants and surgeons for their support through the process. The staff in the McMillan unit and nurses on the surgical wards were caring and compassionate to my dad's condition and explained fully the procedures. The stoma nurses were and continue to be very supportive and helpful. All in all we found the care in Victoria hospital to be consistent and of a very high standard.

Good Morning,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of the care and treatment given to you dad recently. It is lovely to read that the staff within the Macmillan Unit along with the nurses on the surgical wards were caring and compassionate.

It is also excellent to read that you found the stoma nurses to be supportive and helpful with your dad. I will share this feedback with the teams mentioned to show how consistent care that is of a very high standard can help the experience of our patients better during a difficult time.

Kindest Regards

Leanne
