After a consultation with an Orthopaedic Surgeon I was advised to lose some weight before I undergo surgery. I made an appointment at my Health Centre to see a Dietician from my local hospital. I explained to them what the Surgeon had said.
They gave the impression that they didn't know what to do with me. They suggested that I had toast and jam for breakfast. I explained to them that I had another medical condition and bread is not suitable for me but they just seemed to ignore this.
They yawned all through the consultation and I was made to feel that I had wasted my time attending the appointment. The Dietician said they would send information and leaflets out in the post and I never received them.
I have complained at the Health Centre and would like to take this further but I find it difficult to confront people due to mental health issues.
