What I liked
I could get an appointment quicker than in Bedfordshire
What could be improved
A bit more understanding about missing my appointment!
Anything else?
A few months back I saw a doctor who said I had a ruptured tendon. I booked myself in for an ultrasound. After the scan, I didn't hear anything back for weeks so I rang to ask what was happening and conveniently got a letter with an appointment date shortly after.
I waited for an hour and a half after my scheduled time to see my doctor. It wasn't even him that I got to see but I didn't complain. This new doctor treated me like a new patient and referred me for an MRI scan as he had a new "theory".
After the scan, I didn't hear from anyone as instructed, so I had to call and book an appointment. This would have been my fifth visit to the hospital with no resolution to my problem but I was keen no less. Yesterday, I unfortunately missed my appointment for personal reasons. I rang today to apologise and rebook but I have been struck off and now must go back to my GP.
This procedure will no doubt take me months to get back to the stage where I was and I will have to have the scans, Xrays and everything else all over again.
I appreciate the great work of the staff at the hospital, but the service provided is not perfect, nor are we as humans so such a harsh approach to patience who miss one appointment for the first time is deemed by me as unreasonable.
"Unpleased"
