"Foot operation"

About: Capio Park Hill Hospital

(as the patient),

I had an operation on my foot following lengthy other treatments that did not work.

The doctor was good at Parkhill Hospital but I didn't feel the staff were so good. The nurse that admitted me was chewing gum, wore a cardigan over her uniform in a clinical area and when speaking to individual patients, I feel she showed no privacy at all and as a nurse myself i found this very unprofessional.

On discharge I was given crutches by the physio who guessed my height and after suffering back ache for several days I realised they were the wrong height for me.

My appointment to have the pot removed was cancelled at late afternoon on Friday when my apt was due to be early Monday morning. Did they not think that having a pot on my leg I had arranged transport so my husband had to arrange time off work to take me? This all had to be rearranged at short notice.

They removed my pot then let me leave the hospital with a bare foot, no support bandage of any kind.
