From the moment I walked into a&e every single staff member who helped me, spoke to me, assisted me, were ever so helpful. They made me feel relaxed as I was on my own and felt very frightened. They talked to me through every single observation that took place. I was in a&e for approx 8 hours. I was taken to the observation unit within a few hours after my arrival. Staff were lovely, it was very clean in the area, reclining leather chairs to make patients comfortable. It was nice as it takes your mind off what's going on around you. Nurse was helpful knew I hadn't eaten since morning and offered me a sandwich Which was very kind. Refreshments were available free of charge for patients. One thing I have to point out is I know people moan about car park fees at hospitals. My Car park fee was £14.40 I was more then happy to had paid that fee because all the tests I had done and all the nurses and doctors that seen me £14.40 wouldn't even cover it. I would just like to thank all the staff at QE for a very professional service, for being caring towards all their patients that attended as I seen many come and go and the service was excellent. The difference was they all listened to what patients were saying rather then talking over them or rudely cutting the conversation short. I would had not felt better if it wasn't for the brilliant team in A&E. Thank you ever so much.
"Outstanding Service"
