10 days after a very severe MS relapse I called Neurodirect and the MS nurse arranged an appointment at the clinic the very next day. I had gone from being able to walk unaided for an hour or so to being unable to walk without using a pair of walking poles.
At the clinic I was calmly and efficiently assessed, IV Corticosteroids were prescribed and an appointment to see the MS physiotherapist was arranged, i started the course of steroids that morning and straight afterwards saw the physiotherapist who checked me over and gave me some tailored exercises.
I attended on the two following days to complete the treatment.
Throughout I was treated with calm cheerfulness and respect and left feeling much better, both as a results of the treatment (which in my case was effective) but also the level of care I received.
My thanks go to everyone involved, you all helped make an insane illness seem more manageable.
"Extremely helpful"
