"Visit to A and E today 11 March 2018"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / Accident and emergency

My Husband and I attended A and E today. My husband had lost the use of his legs and has an ongoing problem with his hand. A very big thank you to Consultant. You made everything crystal clear and advised my husbands problems were not related and explained in great detail each scenario. We learnt a lot. Thank you for your sterling efforts

To get him admitted to ward D8 . Not sure how when you are unable to walk that you would have a problem in obtaining a bed.

However an MRI scan has already been done so a

Diagnosis hopefully will be forthcoming and quickly leave a vacant bed. All in A and E are

Fabulous.

Thank you.

Thank you for this kind feedback about the consultant you saw in the Emergency Department, I’m glad they were able to help and explain things clearly for you and your husband.

I’ve shared this with the team and would love to be able to pass it on to the consultant themselves – if you know their name, please let my colleagues in the patient experience team know (you can email them to QMCPET@nuh.nhs.uk) and they will pass on your thanks.

Kind regards

Jane Newton
