About: Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital

I’m absolutely appalled. My 83 yr old Mum is in a worse state now than she was when she went in. She’s just been transferred to another hospital, covered in bedsores, clearly cramlington neglected to deliver the treatment required to prevent this happening. This now means she will have to spend even more time in hospital, it’s disgusting. You read all these complaints and nothing improves. Someone sends you an apologetic answer, which is of no use at all, it doesn’t improve patient care.

I’m still waiting on them informing me she’s been transferred, just as well I didn’t do the hour and a half journey there to visit today.

I’m furious. It’s ridiculous we have to rely solely on NSEC,

It’s a distribution centre, delivering second rate care to some.

I’m taking this further.

I have just read your review and I wanted to provide an urgent response with a request to please get in touch. I am genuinely sorry that you've had reason to feel so let down by the care provided to your Mother. I want to understand more about exactly what has happened to her.
