We attended the day surgery Raedwald unit for my daughters surgery. We attended a week previous for a pre-op assessment which is a good idea but the nursery nurse doing the assessment was patronising and didn't really do much to put us at our ease.
I remember this nurse from four years ago when my daughter was having her tonsils out and she was very much the same then.
On the day of her surgery however she wasn't there which was good because she probably would have spoiled what was another fantastic operation and experience for us.
The staff are friendly and caring to both the children and parents. They are thoughtful and knowledgeable
If was to chose a hospital in the UK for my children to have surgery it would be here. We have had experiences of other hospitals and they just don't even compare!
