"I don't feel listened to at the clinic"

About: Nevill Hall Hospital / Rheumatology

(as a service user),

I was under a rheumatology consultant and been to see them 3 times to discuss my condition. But I don't feel they actually listen to me at all. Before I went into the room the doctor had a prescription ready for me, and didn't listen to my concern.

I have battled for 8 years now and they kept saying that I didn't have rheumatoid arthritis. But I knew I did, and they use the "fibromyalgia" condition if the blood test is negative. So now my joints are damaged because I wasn't put on an RA drug years ago.

You are just one of many in a line to be seen. My CRP and ESR levels are high and the staff I see don't seem bothered.
