Up to, and including, the point where my partner had his operation, his treatment was faultless. Staff were both friendly and professional, leaving no stone unturned in order to get things right first time.
All this changed once he was on the ward following his operation.
The staff were clearly under extreme pressure and very stressed.
Sadly, a few of the staff were seen to take their frustrations out on patients.
My partner became reluctant to press his call bell as he felt he was being an inconvenience.
Communication between ward staff and patients/family was often poor, and on occasions, contradictory.
