"It just doesn’t seem enough to say thank you but thank you my "alex angels""

About: Alexandra Hospital

(as the patient),

Two days before my 48th birthday I was admitted to the Alexandra ward Redditch after having a double sided stroke. From the time I was admitted to leaving to begin my rehabilitation at the Princess of Wales hospital, my care from the doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, clinical care team and the nursing staff day and night was faultless.

Without the “alex angels “ I would not be writing this today (even though its with my left hand as the stroke affected my right side more). I was told exactly what had happened to me in a manner I could understand.

In the times I felt down the nursing and domestic staff kept my spirits up, on my birthday the clinical care stroke team sang to me. It just doesn’t seem enough to say thank you but thank you my alex angels.

Response from Head of Communications, Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust

Many thanks for your positive comments about your experience of our Stroke Services, the organisation has placed significant importance on ensuring that Stroke services are derived in line with good practice and national quality standards. There is always room for improvement but your comments will reassure the staff involved that they are on the right path, and they do say that there is no better medicine than laughter so I am glad that the teams involved were also able to help with this.
