"Food"

About: James Paget University Hospital

I went 2 bits a patient, as I was early I decided to have a meal. Never have I been served such terrible food. Bacon roll, bacon cold, bread roll so dried out it fell to bits. Sausage roll, bottom burnt to the extent the sausage had welded its self to the pastry, rest of pastry had dried out. I should have known better as the week before I had vegetable lasagne, this was also stone cold. The relative I have been visiting has told me how bad the food is, as has taken to eating salad!!

Surely good hot food is needed by patients to aid their recovery, not cold over cooked, where are the vitamins and nutrition is lost.

Thank you for providing feedback regarding your experiences of the food provided at the Trust.

I am sorry to hear that your experiences and those of your relative were not positive.

I have shared your comments with our Facilities Manager for consideration, however, should you wish to discuss this further and provide more details, please do get in touch with our Patient Advice and Liaison Services on 01493 453240, who will be more happy to help.

Kind Regards
