"New lease of life"

Firstly I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff and especially my surgeon! I can not compliment them enough.

I've been in pain for over 10 years in my lower back, had numerous advice given and basically gave up trusting Drs, but the pain got worse and

I was sent for X Ray and then for a MRI which, then I was referred to my surgeon who then told me my bottom disc had slipped out and calcified, and gave me the option to have the operation, he put me at such ease and reassured me I had a good chance of being pain free, so I agreed to go a head!!

I had the op 10th sept 2017, they removed the disc and replaced with metal work and a bone graft! apart from the op it was like staying in a hotel, the staff are fantastic really caring, your kept well informed of what is going on!! I also liked that they don't pump you with unnessary drugs, after the op I was only on iburfen and paracetamol!! Food was fantastic!!

It's 6 months after the op and have been discharged and I'm feeling good, it's hard in the beginning not to do things, like bending etc but now I'm doing more and more each day, and I've got a small holding with lots of animals, I can finally sleep through the night which I hadn't done for 10 years because of the pain, I wake up no pain!! I've still got to be careful but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now and getting stronger every day.

Also I was having terrible pains in my hands, I was tested for rhemotoid arthritis, but after the op again pain free!! So I am one happy lady!!

There is not enough good words I can say about my surgeon and his team they are absolutely fantastic.
