I am a floating support worker and I accompanied a client to an ENT appointment on 27/02/18.
However the consultant was rude and arrogant and appeared more concerned with the fact that the gentleman was taking medication for depression than the tinnitus that he had been referred with.
This consultant was very reluctant to make a further referral and did so sarcastically when asked. This also left my client who also has mental health problems, feeling ignored and disrespected. He also feels that the requested referral will not be made.
This lack of any people skills by this health professional makes me question his opinion and I believe my client deserves a second opinion from another consultant.
