"Incorrect advice"

About: Lane End Medical Group

I had booked an emergency appointment and was given a Dr to see. I had 3 emergency issues and when I told the doctor, the doctor told me this a 10 min appointment and you can only discuss 1 issue. For other issues you must book another appointment and made me choose 2 of the 3 emergency issues and told me to book another appointment to discuss the 3rd issue despite the fact that all the conditions were an emergency. The Dr kept referring to the 10 mins slot and rushed through with disregard for my conditions. I have been suffering from severe abdonimal pain and excessive belching, one of the other doctos had told me to go on a fodmap diet and gluten + lactose free, but just before I went to see this Dr, my symptoms had gotten severly worse and I wanted to request that I was sent for a gluten and lactose intolerance test and put me in touch with a nutritionist to help me before i go totally gluten and lactose free. The Dr wrote the coeliac screen and told me I needed to go Gluten free for 6 weeks before I can do the test and also went on to say that lactose intolerance tests cannot be done. The Dr said once I do the coeliac screen test after being gluten free for 6 weeks, thereafter they will see if i need to go to a nutritionist. I have just read everywhere and been told by other friends and doctors that you cannot do a coeliac screen after going gluten free as the test will come negative. I have now been gluten free for 4 weeks and the test will most likely not work! Additionally lactose intolerance tests can be done so the Dr misguided me. This doctor has played through their trial and error and disregard for their patients by giving false advice.
