I was happy with my pre operative procedure, until I was returned to the ward afterward. I understand that all areas of many hospitals are under great pressure but the neglect that I experienced while recovering was below contempt. I have regular procedures in both the royal and the general and believe me, the royal ward staff would do well to take lessons from the general. Where has the care and consideration for the patient gone? Some parts of the hospital do such a great job only to be let down by others.
