"Not geared up to treat IBD"

About: Kingston Hospital

Multiple visits to Kingston A&E and Gastro for IBD during 2017 (Inflammatory Bowel Disease)

IBD Clinic has been cancelled

Seven month wait to see a consultant

Appointments are constantly cancelled at short notice or rearranged

Constant funding games being played which leaves you uncomfortable whether you are being given the right medication or just that which funding is available or suits the political funding arguments

A&E lost stool samples which meant a longer inpatient stay, and constant tests because they hadn't eliminated C.diff (it also took 1 1/2 days for A&E to admit to losing the samples)

A&E refused to provide additional blankets despite being almost blue and physically shaking with cold

For these, and other reasons, I would never recommend Kingston to someone with IBD

Thank you for your feedback, sorry to hear this. I have passed your comments onto the A&E team.
