"Admission to Neurology"

About: Charing Cross Hospital / Neurology

Husband was admitted after suffering seizures. Diagnosed with bleed on brain, likely a Carvanoma. He was hundreds of miles away from home. I rang over 5 times and asked 3 times for a Dr to call me following diagnosis. Nobody rang. After 2 days in hospital husband was going to be discharged at 10.40pm!!!! He refused until the morning as he didnt have transport, medication etc etc. Finally discharged at 1pm the next day, basically out the door, see your own GP to make referral and no advice/information given as to condition.

After 2 weeks condition worsened, no info i.e. scans etc had even been sent over to his own hospital. Sorry but this hospital lacked in patient care. A terrible service! Thank god he is back in the care of James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough. Could continue with complaining but what will it achieve.
