"Fabulous paramedics and A&E staff"

About: Ipswich Hospital / Accident and emergency

We had to go Ipswich A&E by ambulance after my partner developed a huge epistaxis at 2am in the morning....We've had snow all week and we live in a villiage thatwas virtually cut off....The ambulance arrived in 30 mins the weather was atrocious and the 2 female paramedics were fantastic...They calmed my partner down stemmed the bleed and took us to the hospital...It was 4am when we arrived and fairly busy, the unit was clean and warm the receptionist were extremely helpful and polite and the treatment receivedbfrom both the staff nurses and ENT nurse practitioner was excellent we were seen immediately and looked after well. The ENT nurse explained everything and we left well informed. The receptionist even booked a taxifor us. We are new to the area and visiting a new hospital can be daunting... but everyone from beginningto end was so friendly and reassuring and put us at ease....Thank you Carolyn and Paul

Thank you for your kind comments regarding your partners and your experience of treatment at Ipswich Hospital and by the East of England Ambulance Service. I will make sure that both the ED team and East of Anglian Service see you your comment. I hope your partner is continuing to make a swift recovery. Many thanks.
