I was in for a hernia operation today in the day surgery under general anaesthetic. The snow was the worst we've seen for years yet the medical staff struggled in on time for 7.30am admission. Everyone was totally professional and friendly and went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable and well informed about what was happening. I was seen and operated on quickly, well cared for afterwards, checked regularly and given plenty of tea. What a team - nurses, surgeon, anaesthetist (who had given up his day off to come in), support workers, theatre waiting organisers, reception - everyone. I cannot praise them enough.
Warwick hospital should be held up as a truly fine example of what the NHS can do.
"Absolutely fantastic"
