"rarely see the same doctor twice."

About: Thistlemoor Medical Centre

I have been with this surgery all of my life and have seen so many changes in that time, I have now decided to change doctors for a couple of reasons. for 7 months I have been suffering with abdominal pain and was mis diagnosed with IBS, turns out I have gall bladder and gall stone problems that require surgery, I feel that the doctors are rushed as they have to try and stick to 10 min appointments and I never see the same doctor twice and that does not sit well with me, I have had to on 3 occasions remind the person who writes the notes on the computer that I need to have my blood pressure checked and always have to chase them up for repeat prescriptions for blood pressure tablets.

although the morning walk in is a great idea and does work to an extent i also feel that the patient/doctor relationship no longer matters to them, The surgery is expanding far to quick but does offer some good services like endoscopy and ultrasound.

but overall the surgery seems to care more about numbers of patients they can get through the door rather than putting patients like me who have paid my national insurance first. reality of this for me is an ever struggling NHS is not focused on the person and the illness. cant fault the nurses they are brilliant, receptionists could do with more training on how to speak to people.
