"Near useless"

About: Milton Surgery

First of all, one can only call at 8am or 4pm for an appointment, either same day or next day with no guarantee of even getting a spot.

If I am quite ill over a weekend (they are closed and I had bronchitis ), I have to take the Monday off of work in HOPE of getting an appointment sometime that day. And usually that means calling over and over (personal record is 27 times in less than 5 minutes!) until the lines are free. Pretty much the same story at 4pm. Absolutely useless system!

Then on to the Doctors. I had a recurring illness (over 1 year and ongoing) I ended up seeing 5 DOCTORS until finally the 5th gave me proper care and actually helped!

Oh and they seem to have a "one problem at a time" policy, as I happened to have sinusitis at one point on top of it, and although I was well within my 15min, had to choose which to treat and then make another appointment for the other. What the heck?!

The people are friendly and I have nothing to say about that. But good gosh the system is bad and Doctors either come across as if they really don't care and just want you out of there or simply can not be arsed to help people get better at all!

Extremely displeased with this place and how it's managed.

Not the front desk staff and nurses though! They've always been really friendly.

We were surprised and disappointed to receive this review.

After much work with Milton Surgery patient participation group we feel that we have an appointment system, offering several ways to make an appointment which suits the majority of our patients.

I would be grateful if you could spare the time to discuss your concerns about Milton Surgery further with the Practice Manager (Pam Vincett), not only to improve your care, but also to help improve the care for other patients.
