"Very impressed and grateful"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary / Accident and emergency

Having used A and E for many years with having 5 children and the long standing waiting times that were just not good enough. The high skills of the staff and caring nature was always there, and we were always grateful for helping deal with meningitis, the odd break and other illnesses that can happen with kids.

I went last night with debris in my eye and the care and service was speedy. he care as always was excellent and when I left within an hour I was gobsmacked. he reception desk was well staffed and friendly. The layout also was very impressive and the use of screens to show where you were in the queue system was brilliant.

In the past despite the caring staff Leicesters A and E was a dire experience to get to the skilled doctors and nurses. Not good enough for a decent sized city. With all the investment in Leicester in the last few years, it's great to see an A and E department to match that, and lets face it. the people of Leicester deserve it.
