I first met Emily for treatment for back pain but just before my appointment I fell and broke my wrist. I kept my appointment with Emily but she wasn’t able to give me treatment because of the pot on my wrist. But she kindly said that if I did have any trouble after the pot was taken off I could ask my doctor for a referral to see her. This I did in April. First visit she gave me some exercises then 3 weeks later she was very pleased with my progress (so was I, because I am able to use my wrist almost perfect.) if Emily had not offered physio in January I would still be in pain.
The doctor I saw in February when I had my pot taken off never offered any help and just signed me off. (Northern General Hospital).
