"Swollen feet"

About: St Thomas' Hospital / Maternity care

I have arrived to emergency room while almost 26 weeks pregnant with the swollen and very painfull foot. I was sent to antenatal care centre for a doctors' assessment if there has developed blood cloth in my foot. I was visited by nurses and midwife to assess my general health however after waiting 5 hours for doctors' assessment I was left with no other choise but to leave the hospital as i was kept being told that doctor should come in another half an hour.

Thank you for your feedback. We would like to apologise for the length of time you spent waiting in the department waiting to be seen by a doctor. Unfortunately we have experienced very high numbers of women attending the unit in recent weeks which has meant that we have not been able to see women as quickly as we would like to. If you are still experiencing problems with your feet please contact your midwife.
