"This practice is better than excellent."

I have been a patient of this practice since 1978. My late wife was a patient until 2007. I can say with confidence that Keighley is Blessed with its doctors at Ling House. The receptionists are more than helpful and the practice nurses and doctors are exceptionally efficient and professional and I mean all of them. On three occasions a doctor saw me immediately when I was feeling unwell. On one occasion I had a bout of dizziness (it was vertigo) a doctor saw me immediately and applied the ‘Epley manoeuvre’. Problem solved. It was explained to me in detail what can cause vertigo. On another occasion after I had had a prostate biopsy I had extreme influenza type symptoms; the receptionist said “you’re not well, I will get a doctor to see you immediately”and I was called immediately. I had a water infection and this was diagnosed immediately and successfully treated. One more example is important: my dear wife had a CT scan at the local hospital. Fifteen minutes after she left the hospital I received a phone call from one of the practioners; the practioner wished to see my wife the following day. The practitioner had bad news for my wife, she had terminal cancer. My wife was very stoic, which helped the practioner. Now before and after my wife’s death 2 months later, 3 of the practitioners asked about my Wife’s condition and my health too.

Since my wife’s death 3 of the practioners have asked how I was getting on and they referred to my wife with affection. That is the caring aspect of this practice. All the doctors and nurses I have encountered at Ling House regard their professions as a vocation, not just a job. Thank you to everyone at Ling House.
