The service I got was of good quality but running the gauntlet past the ever present group of street drinkers outside was very intimidating. It's almost as though the group are encouraged to sit outside the entrance gate to stop people coming in for treatment, to keep waiting times down!
Next time I will go to casualty rather than have to walk through this group of drunk people their dogs and their litter and be harassed for wanting to get treatment. It's time the police and walk in centre managers were pro active about the environment around this centre, fighting is frequent, drink litter is the norm as is the abuse and hassle from the people who seem to think this is an appropriate place to congregate.
I am glad I have a choice to use a different service, those who have to attend here have no option but to experience abuse and intimidation from the few who could easily be dealt with, if the centre took responsibility for their surrounding area.
