"Rude Treatment"

About: Faith House Surgery

After phoning the surgery for an appointment this morning to see a doctor I was phoned back by a triage nurse who I found to be rude, disrepectful and completely un-empathetic. I understand the purpose of this process is to prioritise cases that are more serious for same day appointments, which mine wasn’t so that is fine but this could have been explained whilst being treated with basic respect and empathy and I would have been happy with that. Telling me that I “sound far too well to have flu” I think is just ridiculous when a) she couldnt see me and b) I dont have an appointment to be seen as there are no available appointments! The whole experience was just horrible I was made to feel like I wasnt really ill and like I was wasting her time bothering them! Just get the sense that their trying to get rid of you rather than help you which is very dissapointing as the first step of caring for people is in the word ‘care’ and actually caring for your patients!
