Having recently been discharged for the 5th time in 20 months with kidney stone treatment, I have to say that the clinical and non-medical staff who work in this ward are superb.
They are not only friendly but extremely helpful, affable and always find time to listen to patients if need be.
The nursing staff are very attentive and deal with some of the elderly patient's with respect and I have never witnessed any patronising language, despite the fact some patient's can be quite demanding and tiring.
Having been in the hospital now for several overnight stays, I have got to know some of the staff and have noticed the way they deal with individuals and circumstances with professionalism and a calm manner.
Even the catering staff and the ladies who bring the coffee are patient and fun to speak to and despite times when the wards can be full, noisy and rather unsettling for some, the calmness and jovial nature of many staff helps to relax patient's and create an atmosphere of reassurance.
"Clarke Ward are an exceptional team"
