"Nothing but praise for K&C"

The level of care and attention that I received was beyond my expectations - so much media coverage and negatively around our NHS.

From my seeing our own doctor in early October, having ultrasound, CT and MRI scans resulting in the identification of a cancerous tumour and the subsequent operation took 11 weeks.

I cannot thank enough the surgeon and the anaesthetist who both took the time before the procedure - a right robotic assisted radical nephrectomy - to talk to my wife and I and to reassure us that all would be straightforward and there was no cause for worry. Special thanks to the surgeon, who, after the operation - which took just over an hour - took the time out of his hectic schedule to call my wife and to let her know all was well.

Both the surgeon and the anaesthetist also visited Clarke ward the next morning to check on my wellbeing - so appreciated. I was discharged within 24 hours.

Thanks should also be noted re the excellent care and attention of the staff on the ward as well as to the very cheerful and thorough cleaning staff.
