I fell ill on Friday and my GP surgery made a home visit resulting in a 999 call for an ambulance. This arrived in a timely period and following medical checks by the crew I was taken to Grantham Hospital A& E.
On arrival I was placed in a side room and immediately attended by a staff nurse along with a student nurse. They carried out a number of checks, taking blood samples and readings etc. I was made as comfortable as possible and was kept well attended whilst waiting for the A& E doctor.
Once the test results where available and further x-rays taken the doctor and Registrar were able to make a diagnosis and prescribe suitable treatment which allowed me to return home within some 5 hours from admission into Grantham Hospital.
The quality of care and the levels of clinical professionalism was second to none. Everyone was so polite and caring but explained everything that was being done to and for me which certainly helped me.
I could not give too much praise to all those involved in my care on Friday all I can do is say a massive thank you to them all.
