"Mental Health Services in Winchester"

About: Community mental health / Eastleigh

(as a relative),

From what I have experienced, seriously mentally ill patients ie those with schizophrenia do not have a regular checks made on them by anyone, apart from those people who are taking clozaril.

I feel they need check ups for dangerous side effects of the drug.

I believe people with mental health problems, especially those who live unsupported, are notoriously unaware of when they need help.

This puts families under terrible pressure as it is the families who pick up problems. I feel this must also throw yet more work into the lap of the already overstretched GPs.

As far as I am aware, there is nowhere for ill people to go in the day, no where that they can get a subsidised meal.
