"Not great care if your in for a while."

About: Basildon University Hospital / Maternity

We were kept in for a week due to complications.

We were in a 4 bed area which overall was well kept and monitored.

Toilets were beyond disgusting on a daily basis.

Only clean in the morning, after that I often had to clean up blood, tissues and other matter before being able to go to the toilet.

Shower was basic.

Food staff wonderful, could bot be nicer thank you.

Nights were long and noisey. As most visitors are here one night it’s okay. By your third night off interrupted sleeps not caused by own baby, things get distressing for mother.

Staff were lovely on the whole. A couple could have a little more compassion when their busy.

Just because I don’t press my buzzer every hour doesn’t mean I don’t need checking on.
